A team that doesn’t know the objective can’t play to win. The most common failure point in booth staffing is not skill ?? it is that the objective was defined by management and never communicated to the people executing on the floor. This engagement produces role assignments (offensive initiators for the aisle, defensive qualifiers and closers inside the booth, one designated team captain with final call authority), individual goal statements for each staff member, and a pre-show briefing document that ensures every person arriving at the show knows what winning looks like and what their specific contribution to it is.
